Its real job is the third answer, surfacing blockers while they are hours old.. Three answers per person: did, doing, blocked. The first two are pleasantries. The third is the entire reason the ritual exists. A blocker said out loud at 9:47 gets solved by 10:15, and the same blocker suffered in silence costs a week. Priya runs it with a timer and no mercy for monologues.

Eleven minutes, then chairs. Down the hall, Sam’s team has no drumbeat at all, never stands in a circle, and ships constantly, and the difference is the next scene.
